Dear Friends,
As followers of Jesus Christ we believe in reaching out to the poor and needy. However, our charitable mission does not stop there. Our duty to also care for them spiritually and educationally is undeniable. In doing so, we want to bring glory to God and lead others to Him. We have organized CFBI to meet all three of these needs.
We believe and trust in the Lord doing a wonderful work using Christians For Biblical Israel, for reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in caring for the poor and needy, in discipling, and for the over all work in the ministry that is according to His Will. Many possibilities lay ahead for us as we follow our Lord’s leading and direction.
CFBI will work with you to accomplish God’s purpose. We will seek out, examine, and select special projects to help the poor and needy. Along with the Gospel, for example, projects like providing food, clothing, and shelter, helping orphans, widows, and single women with babies. And, there are thousands of new immigrants entering Israel every year that need the light and love of Jesus shown to them. We at CFBI have purposed to work with ministries and pastors in Israel in caring for the poor and needy; and have already begun to do so. They too can play an important role in CFBI reaching its goal of bringing glory to God.
Many of our Christian brothers and sisters living in Israel also have needs. Living expenses are very high and at times they need our support. Christians for Biblical Israel will use your donations and gifts in meeting the material and financial needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ when necessary.
It is difficult living in Israel and life there is much different from what it is in the United States. God’s Word teaches us that life for the Christian will become harder to endure the closer we come to the return of Jesus. We believe God is using CFBI to further prepare His children for the return of our Lord and Savior, and will use us even more as we see the “day approaching.” It is our prayer to do this while promoting charity and a Christian testimony before the unbeliever.
Perhaps the Lord is now calling you to a special work for Israel and the Jewish people. CFBI prays that God will send more laborers into His “field.” These Christian laborers need to be equipped and supported so they can do the work that God has called them to do. CFBI will use your designated gifts and donations to support and equip those called by God who labor among the Jewish people. We ask that you sincerely pray about what God would have you to do!
By God’s grace, guidance and power, what seems impossible for you and me to do, can be done! We together can do a great work for God’s honor and glory, and not for ourselves. By serving the Lord and giving glory to Him for all that is done, we are letting our light shine bright so to point others to Jesus. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” There is no work too great or a task too small when we are serving the Lord!
We all want to do a good work for the Lord. But no one person can do it all. It is when Christians work together by the will of God, and under the leadership of the Holy Spirit that they accomplish great works. Christians For Biblical Israel is about God and His purpose here on earth. It is not about any one person.
That is the ministry in brief. The broader sense is the same as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:18-20. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
God has called us at CFBI to go the same way that Jesus went. He cared for both the spiritual and physical needs of the people. He led them in the paths of righteousness. What did the Psalmist say in Psalm 23? “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters.” In other words, the shepherd cared for the physical needs, and in doing so, “He restoreth my soul,” and then, “he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Our mission, in caring for the lost sheep of the House of Israel, is to go restoring, leading, and discipling souls in paths of righteousness. We believe that this is God’s will and direction for CFBI. Please pray that we will do all things God’s way, for His honor and glory. Otherwise, we are only partly doing what should be done, “and not to leave the other undone.”
Is doing what is not to be left undone, easy to do? Certainly not! However, it is human nature to take the easy road. Jesus had many followers because He was filled with the Love of God and took the most difficult road. He took the road that led to the lost, to the poor, and to the needy. He gave, but was despised, he suffered, yet did not threaten, when he was spoken to hatefully, reviled not again, “but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.” Then He gave His all on the cruel cross for you and me.
It is our desire to live for God, to follow his direction, and to do the work according to His will. Please pray for CFBI. Additional prayer needs are: volunteers to help in the ministry; wisdom; and humbleness before the Lord.
In closing, please pray about sending a contribution to CFBI. All gifts and donations are tax deductible.
Yours For Israel and God’s Chosen People,
